Tests used for asthma and allergy diagnosis:

Iridology:

Iridology is when I look into your eyes to check its colour, shape, fibres in the iris, and so on.

The health of your body affects the colour and fibres of your iris structure, so when I look at the iris of your eye I can see where you may be having deficiencies with your small and large intestine, your liver function, adrenal glands, circulation, reproductive areas and skin functioning.

All of these areas give me a broader understanding about any imbalance in your body functions that may be contributing to your asthma and allergies.

It is a tool used as confirmation of a diagnosis.

Cytotoxic Food Sensitivities and Chemical Sensitivities:

This process screens for possible sensitivity reactions to 94 everyday foods, additives, sweeteners and colours.

It tests for common intolerance reaction (not allergies).

If we find that you have a reaction to some of these common things, we might be able to work out which foods should be eliminated or rotated in your diet, so they don't affect you as much - that is, so they don't contribute to your asthma or allergies.

When testing for chemical exposure, this process exposes white blood cells to common agricultural, industrial and domestic chemicals and may allow detection of possible trace exposures and avoidance against future contact.

Allergy Testing:

An allergy is the body's excessive reaction to substances (allergens) from its external world.

It can vary greatly in degree from life threatening anaphylaxis and asthma, to dermatitis, migranes, eczema, arthritis, a stuffy nose or a bloated abdomen.

Even these lesser reactions may tax the immune system and leave us constantly below par.

Hair Analysis:

This test is used for determining your nutrient and mineral levels, heavy metal and toxin levels that are being stored in the body.

Scratch Testing:

This method of testing uses tiny pinpricks of the skin to elicit an IgE allergic reaction.

Our testing panel consists of 24 common allergens, including pollen and grass inhalants, animals, dust mites, moulds and foods.

Specific Organ Functions:

Our body is similar to a well-functioning machine.

When one part, system or organ of the body is not functioning to its optimum, it means that the other organs will be under more stress than normal, because they will work harder to try to make up for the under-functioning body-part.

This causes an overload and under-functioning body as a whole.

Digestive Abnormalities:

The vitality of your digestive system is crucial to how you react to allergens, as well as overcoming asthma.

Immune status:

Over the course of our lives, our body comes in contact with many foreign substances that challenge the bodies immune function.

Major factors are antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides, colouring agents, preservatives and heavy metals.

In the case of asthma and allergies, all of the above can play a major role in how our immune system responds.

Stool analysis:

This process of diagnosis lets me know how well your digestive system is absorbing the foods you eat and how it is reacting to the foods we eat.

It also shows problems that may be causing your digestive system to be under-functioning.
